June Newsletter: What Good IT Protection Looks Like in Practice

Nominated for 9 Workplace Excellence Awards

Good IT protection proves itself in the everyday reality of how a business runs. This month is proof of that: 9 Workplace Excellence Award nominations, a phishing attack stopped before it became a breach, and monitoring that catches problems while nobody is watching.

What does a happy team have to do with good IT support?

We got nominated for 9 Workplace Excellence Awards, Ireland’s national recognition for workplace excellence. Being nominated reflects the culture we are building at Hybrid Technology Partners, one focused on accountability, teamwork, and delivering reliable, high-quality service to every client we support.

Here are the categories we made the shortlist in:

  • Best Workplace for Leadership & Management
  • Health & Wellbeing Team of the Year
  • Best Workplace for Learning & Development
  • Team of the Year
  • Best Workplace for Employee Engagement & Team Building
  • Best Workplace for Employee Recognition

A happy employer makes for happier customers. An engineer who feels valued stays longer, learns your setup properly, and brings that knowledge to every job, and that shows up directly in the service you get.

Phishing email example

How does Huntress stop a threat before it spreads?

In September 2025, a phishing email convincing enough to reference a real project and impersonate a known buyer reached two employees at an engineering firm. Microsoft flagged the account as a Risky User, and Hybrid’s security monitoring across Microsoft and Huntress caught it, isolated the accounts, and shut it down before any damage happened.

“If this had landed a few weeks earlier, we wouldn’t have caught it in time. The security hardening gave us the visibility and control to act fast and avoid a breach.”

What does real IT support look like day to day?

Real IT support works like a building management system for your IT: watching machines, networks, and firewalls in real time and flagging anything out of line before it becomes a bigger problem.

We are often fixing an issue before you even know it happened, the same proactive monitoring we run for businesses across aviation, manufacturing, and logistics.

A problem fixed overnight while everyone is asleep, or one discovered mid-morning when nobody can work, that is the real difference proactive monitoring makes.

Good IT protection comes from a team that stays, a threat caught before it spreads, and monitoring that never stops. If you want a straight answer on where your business stands, call us.

Direct access to engineers who already know your setup, fewer repeat issues, and low staff turnover are good signs to look for. Our 9 Workplace Excellence Award nominations this year reflect the kind of culture that keeps engineers around long enough to know your business properly.

Endpoint detection and response, or EDR, monitors devices for unusual activity and flags it for a person to review, rather than relying on software alone to decide what counts as a threat. Huntress pairs that monitoring with a team of real analysts who investigate every alert as it fires.

RMM software watches your machines, networks, and firewalls in real time, flagging anything unusual so a technician can step in before it turns into downtime. It is the difference between finding out about a problem and preventing one.
